Services and Technologies
Contents
Introduction
On these pages we look at some of the Services and Technologies available to farming and agriculture.
Services include the knowledge transfer of media, and the resulting networking. Consultants can provide the required expertise for farmers when they are negotiating some part of their operations which need outside skills. Laboratories provide skills as do practitioners of legal services. Preserving and guaranteeing the provision of safe food is also a skill and service.
Technologies range from the sophistication inherent in digital agriculture and precision farming, to the methodologies of farming in co-operation with nature (e.g. conservation agriculture, organic and regenerative farming, agroecology, permaculture).
In between all that we also look at aquaponics, hydroponics and undercover growing, biotechnology, mapping, and research and development.
