If you are a true blooded South African, then we know you know who he is! If you are a loyal Springbok supporter, then you will argue that he is one of the finest loose head props the rugby world has ever seen. He has won not one, but two world cup medals and he has now joined team Kubota!
Kubota South Africa is excited and proud to announce that Os du Randt has become part of our team as a Brand Ambassador. “For us the decision was straight forward. Os has not only achieved the highest success that any sports professional dreams of but is also a farmer himself. We were fortunate to have him attend our Dealer conference earlier in the year where he got to experience the Kubota team and to learn more about the brand and our future plans,” states Dennis van der Merwe – National Sales Manager for Kubota South Africa.
“The impact he had on the team and presence he brought with him was very clear for all to see so we immediately began discussions to bring Os on board as one of the team. While he is well respected for his achievements in the game of rugby which was a factor in the partnership, it is his history and background in farming which really convinced us that there are synergies between us and Os which make this partnership work!” Adds Dennis.
“Kubota is a world recognised brand in the agricultural sector as well as construction and other industries. It’s a brand I have always known and have worked with through the years. When Dennis and the team invited me to join them at the dealer conference to do a motivational talk, I was immediately struck by the team spirit and camaraderie within the team and its dealers which is something that should never be underestimated in the business world – just as much as in the sports world,” claims Os du Randt.
“I am excited to be part of the Kubota team and look forward to helping them grow the brand in the local markets and up into Africa,” he adds.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for us as Kubota and we are both proud and excited that Os has decided to join us and we look forward to working with him to grow our brand,” concludes Dennis.
So come and visit us at NAMPO Cape in September where Os will be joining us as well as in other activities for the Kubota brand going forward. Please keep an eye out on our social media channels and websites for more information and when we are in town pay us a visit.
