South Africa’s food production and agro-processing capabilities are on show this week at the Made in Africa exhibition running alongside the 20th US-Sub-Saharan Africa Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum (AGOA Forum) at the Johannesburg Expo Centre at Nasrec.

South Africa’s food production and agro-processing capabilities are on show this week at the Made in Africa exhibition running alongside the 20th US-Sub-Saharan Africa Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum (AGOA Forum) at the Johannesburg Expo Centre at Nasrec.

The event, which runs from 2 – 4 November, brings together hundreds of US and sub-Saharan business decision-makers, with around 400 exhibitors across multiple sectors.

Among the exhibitors are producers of wine, juices, rooibos, honeybush and moringa teas, cooldrinks, sorbet, peppadew products, frozen foods, dried vegetables and powders, sauces, cookies and nuts.

Ambassador Xolelwa Mlumbi-Peter, Deputy Director General at the Trade branch of the Department of Trade Industry and Competition says the prestigious Made in Africa exhibition showcases Africa’s productive capabilities across various sectors to buyers, importers, procurement professionals, investors, government and trade officials, business owners, entrepreneurs, and a VIP hosted buyer delegation from the USA.
