Upcoming regulatory developments in the European Union aim to improve European chemical safety protections.
However, applying more restrictions or prohibitions on chemicals from a safety perspective will likely have unintended consequences for the essential oil industry, and especially socio-economic impact.
With these regulatory changes, it is crucial for the industry to not only present well-founded arguments demonstrating the safety of essential oils but also that they demonstrate the current positive socio-economic impact on individuals working in the essential oil supply chains. In this way they would highlight the potential negative impact if there are more restrictions or prohibitions on essential oils. Given the global nature of the essential oil industry, this potential negative socio-economic impact is also global.
European associations such as the International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades (IFEAT) and the European Federation of Essential Oils (EFEO) are actively advocating to raise awareness of these upcoming changes.
In this webinar we will answer the following questions:
- Which upcoming regulations are of most concern to the essential oil industry?
- What are the potential consequences for essential oils and the essential oil industry?
- How can you prepare for these upcoming regulations as essential oil producers?
For whom?
This webinar is for essential oil producers worldwide and the Associations of Essential Oils producers and traders.
